Why Do I Need Martial Arts in my Life?

As we can only hope for a world of complete peace without even the slightest possibility of a fight, we know that such expectation is only a dream. But, as we all know what the the true images of reality include: robberies, burglaries, kidnaps, etc, there may be a point in time when we have to defend ourselves. What disappointment would it be if we weren't ready for such type of heat.  Martial arts is a set of skills using hands, arms, feet. legs and even the head to protect oneself from an enemy. If we have such skills, we will not only have a better chance of protecting ourselves, but we would feel much more comfortable walking the streets of where we reside. What great feeling would it be to be able to take a gun or a knife from the hands of an enemy and live to talk about it? A perfect feeling!

Besides protecting yourself  and feeling more comfortable walking down the street, what are some other good reasons for taking up martial arts?

Reason # 1 - It is a great Workout
Martial Arts is cardio. Kicking and punching repetitively, blocking blows. after completing a class, you will have sweated profusely and burned hundreds of calories. Those who take up martial arts are usually in the best shape of their lives.  Not to mention the set of workouts instructed by your instructor [not including  kicking and punching] like, running, sit ups, push ups, etc, Whatever it takes to get the martial artist fit for battle.

Reason #2 - You can have a lot of  Fun!...
